Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in a first session?

The first session is less about “fixing” anything and more about understanding you clearly.

We explore:

• what’s bringing you here

• what feels stuck, overwhelming, unclear, or emotionally charged

• patterns you may already notice in yourself

• what you want more of in your life, work, relationships, or leadership

Some clients come in with a very specific goal. Others just know something feels off and want support sorting through it.

My coaching style is conversational, reflective, practical, and emotionally attuned. Sessions often include deep listening, insight-building, mindset work, nervous system awareness, communication exploration, and actionable next steps.

You do not need to prepare perfectly or “have it all figured out” before starting.

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching tends to work well for people who:

• are self-aware or wanting to become more self-aware

• are open to reflection and growth

• feel stuck in recurring patterns

• want support creating change, clarity, confidence, or alignment

• want a collaborative thought partner rather than someone who simply gives advice

Many clients come to coaching because they:

• overthink

• struggle with boundaries

• feel emotionally overwhelmed

• want healthier relationships

• feel disconnected from themselves

• are navigating career or identity transitions

• want to communicate more effectively

• are trying to build confidence, self-trust, or consistency

• are high-functioning externally but exhausted internally

Coaching is not about being “broken.” It’s about creating greater awareness, alignment, and intentional change.

What kinds of concerns do people usually come to you with?

Common themes include:

• burnout and overwhelm

• confidence and self-worth

• emotional regulation

• communication struggles

• conflict and boundaries

• leadership presence

• workplace dynamics

• people-pleasing

• anxiety and overthinking

• neurodivergent self-understanding

• relationship patterns

• life transitions

• purpose and identity questions

• habit and mindset change

• reconnecting to joy, motivation, or authenticity

I also work with clients who are highly sensitive, introspective, emotionally intelligent, neurodivergent, or navigating environments where they feel misunderstood.

What makes your coaching approach different?

My work blends:

• evidence-based coaching principles

• emotional intelligence

• nervous system awareness

• mindfulness and reflective practices

• communication and relational awareness

• practical behavior change support

• leadership and organizational insight

Clients often tell me they appreciate that sessions feel both grounded and deeply human.

I’m less interested in surface-level productivity hacks and more interested in helping people understand the internal patterns driving their experiences, so change becomes more sustainable and authentic.

My background includes:

• ICF-aligned executive and team coaching training

• graduate work in Executive Coaching & Organizational Consulting at NYU

• National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach training

• experience supporting both personal and professional transformation

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy and coaching can complement each other beautifully, but they are different.

Therapy often focuses on:

• healing trauma

• diagnosing or treating mental health conditions

• processing the past

• clinical support

Coaching focuses more on:

• present and future goals

• self-awareness

• behavior and mindset patterns

• communication

• accountability

• growth and intentional change

I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Many clients work with both a therapist and a coach at the same time because the combination can be very supportive.

What results can clients expect?

Every client is different, but common outcomes include:

• clearer decision-making

• healthier boundaries

• improved communication

• stronger self-trust

• greater emotional awareness

• more confidence and clarity

• reduced reactivity and overwhelm

• stronger leadership presence

• improved relationship dynamics

• feeling more grounded and aligned

Often the biggest shift is not becoming a different person, but feeling more connected to yourself and more intentional in how you move through life.

What is your coaching style like?

My coaching style is warm, thoughtful, direct, and collaborative.

I will challenge you compassionately when needed, but I’m not interested in shame-based motivation or performative “high performance” culture.

I care about sustainable growth, emotional honesty, and helping people build lives and relationships that actually feel good from the inside, not just look successful externally.

Do you work with neurodivergent clients?

Yes. I work well with many clients who identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, ADHD, autistic, deep-thinking, emotionally intense, or socially exhausted from masking.

My approach tends to resonate with people who want support that feels nuanced, emotionally intelligent, and nonjudgmental rather than overly rigid or one-size-fits-all.

Do you offer executive or workplace coaching?

Yes.

In addition to personal coaching, I support professionals, leaders, and teams around:

• emotional intelligence

• communication

• leadership presence

• psychological safety

• conflict navigation

• burnout prevention

• team dynamics

• influence without authority

• workplace culture

• neuroinclusive leadership

This work is especially helpful for thoughtful leaders who want to lead effectively without disconnecting from their humanity.

What does coaching with you actually feel like?

Clients often describe sessions as:

• grounding

• insightful

• validating

• clarifying

• emotionally honest

• calming

• energizing

• practical

• deeply reflective

There is space for both depth and action.

Some sessions are strategic. Some are emotional. Most are both.

How do I know if we’re a good fit?

The relationship matters.

That’s why I offer an initial conversation where we can explore:

• what you’re looking for

• what support might help

• whether the coaching relationship feels aligned

You should feel comfortable, respected, and able to be honest in the coaching space. The right fit matters more than trying to force a process that doesn’t feel supportive.
